It is a deeper, more comfortable seating chair measuring 34 width X 38 depth X 30 inches tall. It is of a Mid Century Modern design, a creation inspired by the American movement of the 1950s that aligned with the Modernism. History, as well as good design, often repeats itself as Furniture design of that era has reemerged in popularity again today. For the same reasons as then, clean, simple lines and honest use of materials. The item is hand made and actually bench made, one piece at a time, an example of age old craftsmanship that is finely crafted, and that will last with reasonable care. The hardwood used for the seating structure and strength is solid Mahogany. The fabric chosen is linen in a neutral tone and woven thicker for a longer lasting and better grade of covering, manufactured by the Heritage Collection, a division of AFD Home, sold separately but often ordered in Multiples. There are many other matching pieces to consider from Mid Century Modern Rustic Collection or the Farmhouse, Coastal Series, which pairs perfectly with each other and can be mixed matched and combined to increase the desired interior design.
