Description
A giant woven ball with a lid equal parts decor and storage. The 20x20 inch sphere stands in the living room or kids bedroom as a statement piece, and everything soft disappears inside it: blankets, comforters, pillows, a season of yarn, a load of outgrown clothes. The matching lid keeps it all dust free. The ball is handwoven from about 5.8 lbs of dense natural cotton rope, soft to the touch with no plastic frame and no sharp edges to snag fibre or fabric crafters store whole chunkyyarn projects in it. Rope handles are woven straight into the body, so the full ball slides or carries between rooms with nothing bolted on to loosen. A note on arrival: like all woven rope baskets, it ships folded and compressed, and may show creases from packaging. Unfolding it is easy, and there is more than one way to do it: stuff it with pillows or blankets for a day or two, pass a hand steamer over the creases while gently stretching, or simply push the folds out and shape the sides by hand. Once opened up, it holds its round shape for good. The handwoven Pink & White Heart finish is photographed exactly as it ships, and the heart and rainbow patterns have made it a favourite for baby showers, first birthdays and playroom upgrades it arrives looking like a present before it is even wrapped. Spot clean with a damp cloth.
