Dewert Lift Chair Spindle Nut For Megamat Actuators
This is the spindle nut on a Dewert Megamat MB1 or MBZ actuator that actually drives the stroke tube in and out, which makes the chair go up & down It is down inside the actuator assembly, at the bottom of the stroke tube (where you cant see it) It is a hollow nut, and the worm screw (metal threaded rod) goes through the middle of this nut When the motor turns the worm screw, this nut travels up and down the worm screw The stroke tube screws onto this nut, so when the nut moves up & down, then the stroke tube moves up & down, moving the chair PLEASE NOTE that this spindle nut will only fit a Dewert Megamat motor - it will not fit a Dewert Dymat unit TEcHNIcAL TIP: The typical symptoms of a broken or damaged spindle nut will be that the chair goes from sitting to standing OK, but when the chair starts going from sitting to reclining, the footrest and the back will stop, and you can still hear the motor running, making a clicking sound When it gets to that point, turn the chair over on its side, take the clevis pin out of the stroke tube end of the motor, and see if the stroke tube will just pull out of the motor without your having to unscrew it If so, and you see some plastic pieces stuck in that end of the stroke tube, then you have found the problem When you order this part, we will include installation instructions in with the part when we ship it Please call with any questions before you orderFeatures of Dewert Lift Chair Spindle Nut For Megamat Actuators
